WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Wedding photography is one of the most difficult genres in photography. The day is packed with emotional significance for the wedding couple - and you have only one chance to get every moment of their big day captured. With the passage of time we have realized that there is no single formula that will guarantee ones success in the wedding photography business. We have learnt that a photographic style that works a treat for another photographer may not work for us. Trying to experiment with different styles and work out what feels both comfortable and enjoyable is the best approach.

We at IFFTI’s cover these events with complete passion with a vision of making moments unforgettable. With effective technique and skill, we try our level best to bring out something that achieves maximum reciprocal impact. With evolving technological aspects challenges has been growing in this industry like never before. While we are at shoots, we try to stay emotionally tuned in to the bride and groom during the entire process. Capture as many decisive moments as I can and practice the art of anticipation. We have to be ready with our cameras before the moment occurs rather than scrambling to get ready as events unfold.

ABOUT IFTIKHAR ALI

I followed a typically academic path to university and graduated in Business studies from CIIT. I fell into marketing. Ever since my academic tenure, photography related to products branding, photo-journalism, culture & landscape kept on inspiring me. In this phase of learning and development, I desired to build an image of photography niche that is subject to frames not easily achievable. One of these niches was about capturing people’s pure moments, emotions and feelings.

Three things struck me at the time:
(1) I thought there was a gaping great hole in wedding photography that was imaginative, stylish and full of life as well as being classic.
(2) I didn’t see why couples couldn’t have great posed wedding photos as well as great documentary wedding photography & filming.
(3) I felt there was a real lack of quality service.

This is where I wanted to make a difference. Initially I did few projects for free and compared my work with professional studio’s work. Then I even worked for various professional studios that paid me very little but the exposure was great. In this phase of learning and development a time came when I managed to get my own projects. Now after four years of rolling business I am running my own photo studios/production house mainly focused in Islamabad and Lahore region. Five people are working for me now; each specialized in their own field. We have videographers, graphic designer/concept specialist and associate photographer.

ME & MY TEAM – IFFTI’S PRODUCTIONS

I treat image making as marvelous art field and intend to add value for them. In an effort to get good repute, I have always believed in getting hold of good contacts with many opportunities lying out there. To me photography is not as easy as many think; moments are unexpected and this is where this job becomes difficult. To me photographers make difference on their approach of capturing moments. Equipments exist but minds are unique. The question is how good one is in locking down those unexpected moments and the ability of creativity in choreography. We as a team are committed to offer quality with creative ideas.

Our major portion of business is dedicated for wedding projects. I really love being a wedding photographer. But it’s not all cup of tea. Sometimes it scares the life out of me. You only have one chance. But that’s what drives my team and I to do the best job we can. We put our hearts, souls and sweat into it.
